Biography: Mr. Bellas is an assistant professor in the Department of Art, Fine Art and Art Education and the director of the Studio San Giuseppe Art Gallery. He teaches drawing, figure drawing and 3-D design at the Mount.
Professor Bellas received his M.F.A. from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and his B.S. in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served as a summer exchange professor at Huron University (London) in 2004 and 1997, and is also a recipient of a National Endowment Fellowship in furniture making. His drawings and wood objects are frequently shown in regional exhibitions.
Professor Bellas' interests and hobbies are in the visual arts and crafts, especially drawing, woodworking and bookbinding.
