Biography: Mr. Carter is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati, and his dissertation examines the role of local law enforcement agencies in policing cyberspace. Professor Carter received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in criminal justice from Marshall University, in Huntington, West Virginia.
Mr. Carter currently serves as the Internet editor for Policing: An International Journal of Police Strategies & Management and contributes a quarterly column, which examines various policing resources on the World Wide Web. Professor Carter enjoys exploring used bookstores and collecting rather eccentric pieces of American pulp fiction.
