5/16/09 Ross High School senior Danielle Wilson to attend the Mount and play softball
The College of Mount St. Joseph officially announces that Ross High School senior Danielle Wilson will attend the College this fall and play softball for the Lions.
Wilson, a catcher/first baseman, was a four-year varsity player. She hit over .320 every season in high school, including this season when she posted a .431 batting average with three home runs and 25 RBI in 24 games. In addition, Wilson, a two-time All-FAVC selection, was the MVP of the Ramball Invitational and a member of DECA at Ross. She played for Paul Fernandez in high school.
Danielle, the daughter of Cheryl Wilson, is planning to major in Special Education at the Mount.
5/6/09 Four Lions' players pick up HCAC season-ending awards
Four College of Mount St. Joseph softball players have been accorded all-conference status this season. Named to the All-HCAC Second Team were sophomore second baseman Megan McCullough (Middletown, OH/Middletown), junior outfielder Casey Waldman (Batavia, OH/Clermont Northeastern) and sophomore pitcher Casey Brookbank (Cincinnati, OH/Deer Park). Senior shortstop Kristina Dennett (Fairfield, OH/Fairfield) was named Honorable Mention All-Conference.
McCullough has been named All-Conference two straight seasons while the HCAC awards were the first such honors for the other three Mount players.
4/30/09 Seton High School’s Kristi Ratterman to attend the Mount and play softball for the Lions
The College of Mount St. Joseph officially announces that Seton High School’s Kristi Ratterman has committed to attend the College of Mount St. Joseph in the fall and play softball for the Lions.
Ratterman had a .276 batting average and 19 stolen bases this past season. She also played tennis while in high school, won second honors during her sophomore year, as a freshman class co-president, a student ambassador, on the Community Service Club, in the PSI Club, and in the Campus Ministry Club.
Kristi played softball for Mary Agricola at Seton and is planning on majoring in Business Administration/Mathematics at the Mount.
