Casey Stouffer begins his first season as Lions' head coach for the 2007-08 school year. Stouffer, a 2001 Mount graduate and former Lions’ wrestler, takes over the Lions’ program from Thomas Wynn, who was at the school for six seasons. Stouffer is the fourth head coach in the program’s history, following Ron Corradini Sr., Rod Huber, and Wynn. Stouffer has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health/Physical Education. He is also working on a Masters in Education Administration degree and has Colorado teacher certification in Health/Physical Education (K-12).
The Lions’ new coach is a native of Wabash, Indiana and is a graduate of Southwood (Indiana) High School.
Stouffer, who wrestled for Huber for four seasons, was a letter-winner in the sport each of the four years, and was a three-time team captain. He also played on the Mount’s tennis team for one season. While at the Mount, Stouffer was a member of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), the founder of Huddle at MSJ, and was affiliated with the Mount Education Association and NEA (National Education Association). Stouffer also made Dean’s List at the Mount three times and was a NCAA Division III Scholar Athlete All-American (1999, 2000, and 2001).
After graduation from the Mount, Stouffer trained at the Olympic Wrestling Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, was a world champion in Folkstyle wrestling (2002), an Ironman world wrestling champion (2002) and placed sixth at the Greco-Roman World Team Trials (2002).
Stouffer was a Coach/Counselor at the FCA Wrestling Camp and Ohio State University Wrestling Camp (1999), as well as being a retreat counselor for four years for Fellowship Christian Athletes. He was a teacher and head coach at Amelia High School (2002) before moving to Colorado Spring, Colorado. During his time in Colorado, Stouffer has been a Physical Education teacher at Colorado Springs Christian School and a Health/Physical Education teacher at Lewis Palmer High School for four years. He was the varsity head wrestling coach at Lewis Palmer High School for the past four seasons.
Coach Stouffer, and his wife, Jessica, will reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Assistant Coach Steve Iori 
Steve Iori returns for his third season as a Lions’ assistant coach. Iori graduated from the College of Mount St. Joseph in 2001 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration with concentrations in marketing and management. He was a four-year wrestler for the Lions, and was the team’s Rookie of the Year in 1998, after placing in the top six of every meet, and qualifying to NAIA National tournament that season. Iori was also on the Mount's first conference and regional championship team in 2000 and was a team captain as a senior.
Iori has been a substitute teacher and part owner of a landscaping business. He also coached wrestling at Elder High School for four years following college, directing numerous state placers, many of whom which have gone on to wrestle collegially. He also was a volunteer coach with the Elder Kids Club and Junior High programs and also assisted with the Westside Freestyle/Greco-Roman Wrestling Club.
He is currently employed in Fifth Third Bank's Consumer Lending Direct Equity lending division, analyzing risk and approving equity loans for new and/or existing Fifth-Third customers. He also owner of Meshed Landscaping.
Iori is single and resides in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Assistant Coach Brennan Ryan

Brennan Ryan joins the Mount's coaching staff this season as an assistant coach. Ryan, who has his Master's degree in Education from Xavier University, was most recently the head coach at Roger Bacon High School, a position he had held since 2000. During that time his teams recorded an 86-24 dual record, were two-time Division II-III City champs, two-time sectional champs, three-time GCL Central/North champs, and ranked in the Top 5 in Cincinnati Division II-III all seven seasons.
As a coach, Ryan was voted SWOWCA Division II Coach of the Year for 2005-06 and 2006-07, and also GCL North/Central Coach of the Year in 2004-05, 2005-06, and 2006-07.
In addition, Ryan has coached the Storm Club Baseball team in Cincinnati, from 2004-2007, as a head coach and 1999-2003, as an assistant; and also was an assistant coach and head baseball coach at Roger Bacon High School (1998-2007).
He is currently self-employed, owning his own promotional products/ad specialty company (513 Promotional Products). Ryan, and his wife Rachel, reside in Cincinnati, OH.
