Carrie Taylor begins her third season with the Mount’s men’s soccer team in 2007. Taylor was hired in December 2004 as the school’s first full-time head soccer coach, heading up both the women’s and men’s programs at the Mount.
The Lions’ coach has a variety of soccer coaching experience. She came to the Mount from Milford High School, where she was the girls’ coach from 2001 through 2004. She was an assistant coach at Division I Xavier University (1999-2001) and was involved with youth and Olympic Development soccer for nearly 10 years. She also was an assistant coach at Division I Temple University (1997).
In addition, coach Taylor has worked with Kentucky, Nevada and Hawaii ODP teams, has been the Alaska ODP State Team head coach and is a Regional II staff coach. She has recently been named United States Adult Soccer Association Women’s Region II Select Team coach and USASA National Staff Assistant coach. Taylor also has a United States Soccer Federation A License and National Youth License, and is a licensing clinician in Ohio and Kentucky.
Taylor has a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree in sport administration from Wayne State University and an alternative teaching certificate in life science.
She played on the University of Michigan club soccer team (1990-1994) and was a member of the Wolverines’ inaugural varsity team in 1994. She played in the USWISL (United States Women’s Independent Soccer League) in 1996 for the Columbus Ziggx and in the WUSL (Women’s United Soccer League) in 2000 for the Kentucky Fillies.
She resides in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Assistant Coach Leah Todd

Leah Todd returns to the Mount for her third season as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s teams. She is currently enrolled at the Mount and is working toward a second bachelor’s degree (athletic training), which she expects to complete in 2008.
Todd is a December 2003 graduate of Seton Hall University, where she was a four-year starter for the Division I Pirates. She was a team co-captain her senior season and was named to the Big East All-Academic Team for three years. She also graduated with the record for most saves in a Big East Conference Tournament. Todd received a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Science degree.
She was an undergraduate assistant coach for Seton Hall in 2003, assisting with the team’s goalkeepers and team conditioning.
The Lions’ assistant coach played for the Cincinnati Ladyhawks amateur soccer team in the WUSL for five years, after playing briefly for the Atlanta Beat in the now-defunct professional WUSA. Todd has also worked at local soccer camps, and has served as a goalkeeper coach.
Coach Todd and her husband Robert, reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Assistant Coach Rudy Argueta 
Rudy Argueta begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Lions’ soccer team. He is a 2002 graduate of NAIA Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky, where he was a four-year starter. While at Union, he was the first player in school history to score 40 goals and have 40 assists. He was a First Team All-Conference selection from 1999-2001, a two-time team captain, team MVP in 2000, and was honored with All-Region and All-American Honorable Mention Awards in 1999. Argueta graduated with a triple major, business administration, sports management and physical education, and a minor in economics.
Argueta, a midfielder, also has professional soccer experience with the Columbus Crew in 2002 and played for Info Sport at the Professional Soccer Combine (All-Star team) in 2002. Furthermore, he played with two different teams in the Professional Development League and the U-12 Guatemala National Youth Team from 1989 to 1991.
He has most recently been the varsity boys’ assistant soccer coach at Turpin High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, as well as the junior varsity head coach for the past four years. In addition he has coached youth soccer and has been active in working many prestigious soccer camps around the country. Argueta has also worked as a personal soccer coach, training individuals, club teams and high school teams. He is currently the U-16 Cardinals Soccer Club’s head coach.
Argueta resides in Cincinnati, Ohio.
