The Alumni Association has created a new opportunity for you to get together with other alumni.

Beginning in the academic year, Mount alumni are invited to participate in the Alumni Book Club. In collaboration with the Humanities Department and the library director, we will read two different books, one each semester, and then discuss them on-line.

In September we will read “Gardens of Water” by Alan Drew. On Wednesday October 8, 2008 you will have the opportunity to meet the author. He will speak at 7:00 p.m. in the College Theatre. The author will sign books after the lecture

Drew's first novel takes readers to Turkey, a geographical location not common as a setting in American fiction, and his absorbing narrative is obviously derived from his own intense experiences in that place.
