The dual enrollment program is designed to offer transfer students from participating institutions a smooth transition into a baccalaureate degree program at the College of Mount St. Joseph.
Through the established Greater Cincinnati Consortium cross-reference program, students at participating institutions may take classes at the College of Mount St. Joseph while they complete their associate degree. When students have finished their associate degree with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA, they may begin full-time enrollment at the College of Mount St. Joseph. This enrollment process is designed to be a smooth and seamless process.
What are the benefits to students?
- Simplified admission process with one application for two schools.
- No additional application fees for the Mount.
- Coordinated advising and course planning with counselors at the Mount while students complete their associate degree at another institution.
- Dedicated scholarship opportunities for students.
- Flexibility in course selection and planning.
- Expanded student options and curriculum choices.
- Access to a broader array of services and activities.
Are there any scholarship opportunities?
A Transfer Scholarship to the Mount ($5000) is available to full-time students who achieved a 3.0 GPA after completing one of the associate degrees listed on the Mount's program guide.
What about Financial Aid?
Students who are interested in receiving financial aid must apply at the initial institution during the completion of their associate degree there (This would be considered the home institution).
Once the associate degree is completed and a student is pursuing a bachelor's degree applying for financial aid would take place through the College of Mount St. Joseph. (College of Mount St. Joseph would be considered the home institution at this point.)
Where will my records be kept?
As a condition of admission to the Dual Enrollment Program, a student must sign an agreement to release student record information to each institution. This allows the Mount to share student record information between the two institutions.
