Craig Beesten is admission counselor/transcript analyst at the Mount. He is a 2000 graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in English and literature. Before coming to the Mount, he worked for a college textbook publishing company and as an administrator/instructor with a small paralegal institute. A sports enthusiast, Craig plays soccer year-round as well as basketball and softball on a seasonal basis. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters.
Craig said the intimate interaction is what attracted him to the Mount. “I enjoy working at the Mount not only because of its reputation but also because working one-on-one with the students was emphasized. After attending a large institution, the intimate interaction appeals to me greatly.”

Nicki Veldhaus

Nicki began her career at the Mount as an admission counselor after 18 years in the corporate world. While working for the GE, she completed her bachelor of science degree at the Mount using the weekend and accelerated program. This allows her to speak first-hand about her experiences as an adult student at the Mount. “I can associate with the concerns that adult and transfer students may have about returning to college.” In addition to her work in the admission department she is an adjunct instructor for the Mount’s professional development course – a class that helps students refine skills necessary for the job market, including resume writing and interviewing. Nicki is currently pursuing her graduate degree in religious pastoral ministry and spends her free time enjoying her grandchildren.
