Sport Management
The sport management major is designed to meet the needs of the contemporary sport industry so that students have an educational background to function effectively in a sport management setting.
Sport Management is a $350-400 billion business in the United States alone. This explosive growth is reflected in the expansion of professional, semi-professional, amateur, and youth sport leagues; corporate health and wellness programs; personal training; sport marketing, advertising and promotion; community recreation centers; and increased sports opportunities for all populations. Around the clock, use of facilities for school, community, and corporate sport activities and fitness programs have also increased the demand for professionals in this field
