Philosophy
A minor in philosophy offers students an opportunity to develop critical thinking skills of analysis, synthesis, and sound reasoning to become cognizant of philosophical theories and their influence in society.
Philosophy students develop many transferable skills that can be can be utilized in a variety of careers and jobs, demonstrating the flexibility and capacity for growth that employers find valuable. These skills include analytical, organizational, research, as well as oral and written communication skills. Philosophy students work in a variety of occupations, although many will be found in working in religious occupations.
