
Bethesda North and Good Samaritan Hospitals On-Site Program
The College of Mount St. Joseph and TriHealth, Inc. are partnering to improve the quality of health care in the Greater Cincinnati area by offering a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree on-site at both TriHealth Hospitals - Bethesda North and Good Samaritan.
The program, designed for registered nurses who already have an associate degree or diploma, is a collaborative venture with case studies, guest lecturers, clinical projects and/or technology support being contributed by the TriHealth hospitals.
Students who complete the program will be baccalaureate prepared nurses who can:

Apply theoretical concepts from various disciplines to competently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.

Communicate effectively with individuals, groups, institutions, and populations

Use critical thinking skills to examine situations, determine potential solutions, and implement creative responses.

Develop caring relationships with individuals and groups from diverse populations to promote empowerment.

Apply principles of leadership to effectively advocate for others, contribute to positive management practices and promote quality health care delivery.

Exercise professional, legal, ethical, social and political responsibilities as a nurse and a citizenUse information literacy skills to advance evidence-based nursing practice.
Program Delivery
The program is offered at the hospital over 30 months, in an accelerated format. Two courses will meet over the 15-week semester. A course will meet 6 to 8 consecutive weeks, with a pre-assignment and post assignments. Each class meets for 3 1/2 hours. Courses follow adult learning principles, with relevant clinical issues being presented.
