New for Fall, 2012

Neuroscience is the scientific discipline that examines behavior in a variety of organisms as well as thought and emotion in humans.

Program Focus

As a neuroscience major, you will focus on the study of the brain, spinal cord and neurons and how they interact with the body to control such processes as sleep, memory and movement. You will also explore the biological and psychological bases of disorders such as Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, autism and more.

Curriculum

Our neuroscience curriculum integrates both foundational and advanced courses in psychology and biology with foundational courses in chemistry, mathematics, physics, and philosophy. We'll challenge you to investigate the mysteries of the mind, body and emotions while exploring connections to other fields as well.

Academic Tracks

Select from two academic tracks based on your interests:

  • Biology Track with Psychology Minor
