Gerontology is the study of aging in humans and includes the study of the physical, mental, and social changes in older people. A minor or certificate in gerontology helps to prepare students for a variety of career opportunities. Opportunities may arise in business, government, industry, public and private agencies, health and human services, research and education, and entrepreneurial endeavors.
