Clinical Rotations

Athletic training students will gain a variety of clinical experiences while at the College of Mount St. Joseph. The sophomore year is spent primarily on campus with the varsity athletic teams of the college. Junior athletic training students have the opportunity to be off campus in high school, rehabilitation centers, and general medical settings. During the senior year, students will be assigned as the head athletic training student of one of the Mount's athletic teams. Senior students will also be given the opportunity to complete rotations specific to individual career goals.

Below are listed the organizations that are currently affiliated sites for the College of Mount St. Joseph Athletic Training Education Program. To learn more about each locations, click on the links.

Clinics

  • Wellington Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Therapy Services
  • The Howell Rehab Center
  • Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center
  • Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine
  • TriHealth Physical Therapy

High Schools

  • Colerain High School, OH 11 miles
    Colerain is a large division I school in northwest Cincinnati. They have 21 varsity sports.
  • Harrison High School, OH 17 miles
    Harrison is a division I school located west of Cincinnati. They have 15 varsity sports.
  • Lakota East High School, OH 35 miles
    Lakota East is a division I school just north of Cincinnati. They have 21 sports teams.
  • Seton High School, OH 3.5 miles
    Catholic all girls high school with 11 sports located on the west side of Cincinnati.
  • Fairfield High School, OH 23 miles
    Fairfield is a large high school with over 700 athletes competing in 29 sports. Fairfield is located north of Cincinnati.
  • Kings High School, OH 30 miles
  • La Salle High School, OH 9 miles
    All boys catholic high schol located on the west side of Cincinnati. They have 12 varsity sports.
  • Moeller High School, OH 21 miles
    Moeller is an all boys catholic high school in northeast Cincinnati. They have 16 sports.
  • Mercy High School 4.5 miles
    Marcy is an all-girls catholic high school located in the Delhi area of Cincinnati. They have 10 varsity sports.
  • Northwest High School, OH 19 miles
    Located in the same district as Colerain High School, Northwest has 25 sports.
  • Norwood High School, OH 10 miles
  • Princeton High School, OH 23 miles
    Princeton, located in northern Cincinnati, is one of the larger high schools with 19 sports.
  • Seton High School, OH 5 miles
  • Withrow High School. OH 12 miles
    Withrow is an inner city school located on the east side of Cincinnati. They have 10 varsity sports. 
  • Covington Catholic High School, KY 10 miles
    Covington Catholic is a larger all boys high school in northern Kentucky. They have 10 sports.
  • Dixie Heights High School, KY 16 miles
    Dixie Heights is a large public school located in northern Kentucky. They have 20 varsity sports. 
  • East Central High School, IN 25 miles

Students can also receive service learning credit by performing 30 hours of service learning with varied professionals and organizations, including:
