Formal admission to the Department of Art & Design is contingent upon a later submission of a portfolio of college-level work to the faculty for review and determination. For traditional students the portfolio is to be submitted at the end of the freshmen year. Transfer students may apply after the completion of 18 hours of art courses at the college level, with at least the last six hours of studio course credits completed at the Mount. More advanced transfer students can be reviewed upon entry.
