The Mount offers a B.F.A. in Fine Arts with concentrations in: Ceramics, Drawing, Fabric Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture (which includes Metalcraft & Jewelry and newly added Hot Glass). It is designed for the student interested in becoming a professional artist. It is sequenced for the undergraduate student to focus on one area for later graduate study leading towards an M.F.A. in that same area. The B.F.A. is also available in the Graphic Design and Interior Architecture & Design programs.

Art majors at the Mount will discover a wealth of opportunities to explore and develop their artistic abilities. The newly renovated Dorothy Meyer Ziv Art & Design Building houses spacious studios with abundant natural light, wireless computer connection, and Studio San Giuseppe, an art gallery that welcomes students and visitors with engaging professional exhibitions that parallel the art and design programs, as well as faculty and student exhibits.

Art students are encouraged to pursue cooperative education work assignments or internships in their concentrations. Students are also encouraged to participate in Service Learning, a reflective educational experience unique to the Mount in which students can earn academic credit for meaningful community service activities, like Working in Neighborhoods (WIN) or with Habitat for Humanity.
