At the Mount, academic advising is a partnership (between advisor and advisee) that is viewed as integral to the educational experience and the development of the student.
Located in the Conlan Center, the new Academic Advising Resource Center proudly boasts expanded space and new advisors. These advisors embrace the importance, from a student’s perspective, of effective, ongoing academic advising with a focus to intervene early, intensively and continuously so that students have the greatest chance of success at the Mount.
Academic advising is available to all degree-seeking students at the College. Traditional students are required to meet with their advisors before registering for class. Registration clearance on the Web must be provided by the academic advisor.
Adult students are encouraged to meet with or talk with their advisor before registering for classes. Advisor registration clearance for adult students is required for the following majors: art, athletic training, biology, chemistry, education, mathematics, nursing, paralegal studies, psychology and social work.
In the interest of quality service to our students, advising should be done on an appointment basis.
