Nicki Verploegen, Ph.D.

Nicki Verploegen, Ph.D., has over 25 years of pastoral experience reaching across the country and around the globe.

As a well-known educator, retreat leader and lecturer, Dr. Verploegen has helped hundreds of students in their spiritual and ministerial development.  In 1985, she shared her pastoral ministry with the people of Liberia, West Africa, as an overseas missioner.

All of her experiences, domestic and abroad, have contributed to the authoring of many books, articles, conferences, and retreats referenced today in ministerial education.

Paula Gonzalez, SC, Ph.D.

Paula Gonzalez, SC, a Sister of Charity of Cincinnati, is a futurist and environmentalist.

She has offered over 1600 talks, mini courses and retreats on various aspects of Planetary Awareness: Learning from Earth, Ecospirituality, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Futures.  In the 80s, she gained direct experience with passive solar design and super-insulation techniques by converting a chicken barn in to a solar residence.

A second major building project, also modeled on nature's cyclic processes, resulted in EarthConnection - "a center for learning and reflection about 'living lightly' on Earth."

Sister Paula has produced several book chapters and articles as well as audiotape and videotape programs.
