Cultural Immersion is an intentional effort to explore intercultural relationships, the premise of globalization and the varying lifestyles and cultural strengths within that context.

  • Students experience citizenship and corresponding relationships as a way to participate in healthy, enduring communities.
  • Students analyze social justice content of the Christian tradition which expose poverty and corresponding responses in light of gospel values.
  • Students will identify, dialogue about and relate with persons from other cultures in a way that engages diverse religious values and spiritual experiences which are grounded in a shared vision of charity in the contemporary world.
A Mount student and alumni are sharing their Cultural Immersion experiences through online postings from their trip to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in the Dakotas.
