The College of Mount St. Joseph is pleased to announce the 13th Annual Leadership in Nursing Awards Program. The Mount’s long-held commitment to the significance of nursing leadership provides the foundation for this program.
As in past years, nurses with baccalaureate and higher degrees in the Tri-State area who have made distinguished contributions to health care through leadership will be recognized. Award categories are:
-
distinguished nurse administrator
-
distinguished nurse educator
-
distinguished nurse researcher
-
lifetime achievement in nursing
-
alumni nurse leader.
Since 1996, 45 outstanding nurse leaders, representing 26 institutions/agencies have been honored as recipients. All nominees will be formally recognized at a Leadership in Nursing reception and dinner open to the community on November 5, 2008, at The Phoenix in downtown Cincinnati. Recipients will receive a specially designed crystal award, and their names will be engraved on a Leadership in Nursing Awards plaque at the College.
Funds generated by community and corporate support of this program are used to provide scholarships to senior nursing students who have demonstrated leadership, academic achievement, and service during their college experiences. Scholarships are awarded to three students, one in the pre-licensure track, one in the RN-BSN track and one in the Master of Nursing program.
You are invited to become a part of this exciting program by nominating a nurse colleague for an award. Download the printable form at the right or complete the online nomination. Additional information may be obtained by calling the Nursing Program at the College at (513) 244-4511.
Please join the College of Mount St. Joseph in honoring outstanding nurses who have made significant contributions to health care through distinguished leadership in nursing.
