At the Mount, students are expected to work with a faculty member during their junior and senior years to formulate and research an unanswered scientific question, to design appropriate experiments to test their hypotheses, and to analyze and present the results of their experimentation.
This intensive program gives our students valuable work experience that employers appreciate. You have actively lived the scientific process, demonstrated your ability to follow through with an idea, learned important problem solving and critical thinking skills, and practiced your ability to communicate your results in both written and oral form.
