The Mount's strong co-op program enables students to enhance their class studies, personal development and marketability upon graduation. Students have excellent opportunities to work in a variety of art and design positions related to their fields.

The Mount offers two types of co-op programs: parallel and alternating. In the parallel plan students attend classes full time and work approximately 20 hours per week. With the alternating plan, students work full time one semester and attend college full time the next semester.

Benefits of Co-op

  • Gain paid professional experience
  • Learn tips from colleagues that strengthen such skills as meeting with clients, preparing and presenting work to professional standards
  • Improve time management techniques
  • Bring greater self-confidence and focus to classroom/studio work
