Accreditation

The College of Mount St. Joseph was first authorized to grant the Master of Arts in Education degree in 1978. The graduate program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and authorized to operate by the Ohio Board of Regents. The teacher education programs are approved by the Ohio State Department of Education, Center for the Teaching Profession, Room 810, 65 S. Front St., Columbus, OH 45215, (614) 466-3593, and accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council, One Dupont Circle, Suite 320, Washington, DC  20036 (202) 466-7236.

The College of Mount St. Joseph was first authorized to grant the Master of Arts in Religious Studies degree in 1988. The graduate program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and authorized to operate by the Ohio Board of Regents.

The College of Mount St. Joseph was first authorized to grant the Master of Physical Therapy degree in 1995. The Doctor of Physical Therapy degree was authorized in 2005 and began its first class in June, 2006. The Physical Therapy graduate program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and authorized to operate by the Ohio Board of Regents. The Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the College of Mount St. Joseph is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), 1111 North Fairfax Street, Alexandria, VA 22314, (703) 706-3245. Faculty and students are members of the American Physical Therapy Association and participate at the national and state levels by attending professional meetings and presenting research findings.

The College of Mount St. Joseph was first authorized to grant the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership degree in 2001. The graduate program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and authorized to operate by the Ohio Board of Regents.

The College of Mount St. Joseph was first authorized to grant the Master of Nursing degree in 2004. The graduate program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and authorized to operate by the Ohio Board of Regents. The Master of Nursing program has been approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One Dupont Circle NW, Suite 530, Washington DC 20036-1120, (202) 887-6791.  Faculty are members of various professional organizations and participate at the national and state levels by attending professional meetings and presenting research findings. Students are members of the National Student Nurses Association and have the opportunity to become a member of Sigma Theta Tau, an international nursing honor society.
