Established in 2001, the Rieveschl Endowment for the Sciences provides funding to replace and upgrade equipment and technology in the Mount’s science laboratories and classrooms. Having the most up-to-date equipment enhances teaching and learning and better prepares students for the technology they will encounter in the workplace.
Hundreds of alumni contributed to the endowment, responding to a challenge from The Kresge Foundation and a lead gift from scientist George Rieveschl, Jr. and his wife Ellen. Following Dr. Rieveschl’s death in September 2007, the College received a very generous distribution from his charitable trust to benefit the science endowment. These additional funds further ensure that the College will continue to provide state-of-the-art equipment for the study of science.
Gifts to the Rieveschl Endowment may be made by contacting Jean Kotzbauer, director of Development, at jean_kotzbauer@mail.msj.edu , 513-244-4475 or 800-654-9314 ext.4475.
