Karen McFarland Menchen ’92 of Cincinnati is pleased to announce the arrival of her granddaughter, Samantha Rose Menchen. She was born on September 20, 2013.
Elizabeth DeBrunner Rutherford ’96 of Norwood, Ohio, is a language arts teacher at Lebanon Junior High, a mother of four, and a grandmother of two with a third expected in February. Elizabeth is also the owner and education director of Rutherford Tutoring Services.
Juana Mendez SC ’00 of Erlanger, Ky., has been working to benefit the Hispanic community. Since her graduation from the Mount, she has been a parish administrator for Cristo Rey, a Hispanic parish on the grounds of the former Marydale Retreat Center in Erlanger. She also formed Centro de Amistad de Cristo Rey (Center of Friendship of Christ the King) which serves over 500 immigrants and undocumented workers.
Kelli Higgins Salm ’03 married Philip Salm on October 5, 2013. She is now working as a physical therapist at Middletown City Schools.
