Orloff receives Elizabeth Seton Mission Award from the College of Mount St. Joseph

The College of Mount St. Joseph presented the 2014 Elizabeth Seton Mission Award to Mary Orloff, a lab manager for the biology department. The annual award recognizes an outstanding staff member who creates an environment that is supportive of the College, is sensitive to the needs of others and who gives evidence of service to students. She was awarded at the annual Celebration of Teaching and Learning.

Orloff has been a member of the Mount’s staff since 2004. She is also the advisor for the group fitness club at the College, as well as a member of Task Force for campus wellness.

Outside of work, Orloff enjoys working on creative projects and participated in ArtWorks citywide bats incredible project. One her most memorable moments was throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at Great American Ball Park before the Reds baseball game in 2010, promoting awareness about hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.

She and her husband, Darren, live in Delhi with their four sons.
