MSJ Music Academy offers Group Piano for Adults

By: Bryan Crisp

Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano but never had the opportunity? Did you stop playing and wish you could come back to music? You can start here right now! With the “Musical Moments” curriculum we will use for this class, you will begin to read music, learn the fundamentals and play the basic chords quickly so that you will begin to learn the music that you always wanted to play.  This will be taught in a relaxed, social atmosphere.

This group class provides electronic pianos with headphones so one can experience and process at their own pace, with plenty of instruction and interaction from the teacher.

Yuking Chou Brandenburgh, an international competition winner, has been an active teacher and concert pianist in Asia, Europe and the United States, and is often invited to perform at international festivals and to adjudicate competitions. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna/Austria, and is finishing her doctoral degree at College Conservatory of Music at UC.
