The College of Mount St. Joseph is partnering with the Warren and Butler County Educational Service Centers to offer a summer camp that will give young women the opportunity to experience what it's like to be a biologist, botanist, chemist, geologist, physicist, or mathematician while being guided by experienced professors in a college setting.

Women in Science Experience (WISE) is an on-campus program where students experience life in the residence halls and receive instruction from professors. The cost is $299 per student which includes room, meals, snacks and field trip fees. It is open to students entering their sophomore and junior years, but student entering their freshman years may be considered. Only 20 students will be accepted.

Students will take part in lab experiments and other experiments focused on climate change and environmental issues. A field trip to Miami Whitewater Park for water sampling, and studying insects and aquatic life is also planned.
