Friendship Concert at the Mount sells out

The Friendship Concert at the College of Mount St. Joseph as part of the World Choir Games on Wednesday, July 11 at 7 p.m. is sold out.  The College Theatre seats nearly 1,100. 

The College box office is keeping a waiting list for those who call 244-4220 and add their names to the list.  The concert is free but tickets are required.  There is a limit of 10 tickets per person.  Parking is free in the west lot of the campus.

Four choirs will sing at the Mount’s Friendship Concert:  the Suanplu Chorus from Thailand, the Bahamas National Youth Choir from the Bahamas, Prime Note Ensemble, a Filipino group from California, and Southern Gateway Chorus from Greater Cincinnati.  More than 150 singers will be involved in the Friendship Concert at the Mount.  Each choir performs 15-20 minutes.

Cincinnati hosts the 2012 World Choir Games July 4-14, the first time the Games are being held in the United States. The WCG are considered to be the Olympics of choral music. Choirs from around the world will perform in selected venues throughout the week; Friendship Concerts will be held in various locations throughout the city.  To learn more about the World Choir Game, choirs and tickets, please visit 2012worldchoirgames.com.
