The National Association of Social Work has designated March as National Social Work Month. In recognition of this designation, the Department of Sociology and Social Work is providing an informal seminar on career opportunities.
Examples of employment may be found in the fields of: substance abuse, mental health, aging services, child welfare, youth services, and healthcare.
The seminar is free and open to college and high school students interested in the field.
