The College of Mount St. Joseph is partnering with Sinclair Community College to offer the Mount’s TEAM-MSE (multicultural special education) program on Sinclair’s Courseview campus in Mason beginning on January 5, 2013.
The TEAM-MSE program prepares the individual to work with students with special needs who come from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. The program is an accelerated blended program, offering classes that combine both online learning and face-to-face in the classroom, that leads to a master of arts degree with a major in teaching and license in special education, grades K-12. The program provides an opportunity for teachers to expand their teaching expertise and for second career individuals to secure a degree and license in special education. In an effort to bring the Mount’s rich tradition in preparing teachers, the program will be offered at Sinclair Community College’s Courseview campus in Warren County.
“We are very excited to offer this unique program on Sinclair’s campus,” said Clarissa Rosas, Ph.D., director of the TEAM-MSE program at the Mount. “This is an opportunity for educators and those looking for a second career who live in the northern and eastern parts of the tri-state the convenience of this facility with the quality of a Mount graduate education.”
