Barbara Healy Santilli ’71 retired from teaching in June 2011. She says, “I have not let the grass grow under my feet. My husband and I have traveled to Italy and Sicily, Las Vegas, Florida, and Ocean City, N.J., spending a considerable amount of time in each. When not on trips, I spend most of my remaining time with my 4-year-old granddaughter, my 95-year-old mother or reading.

Beth Reinhardt '72  I retired after 30 wonderful years of teaching Special Education in 2006. My husband, Dan (retired Xerox software architect) and I recently moved to a lovely townhouse on the outskirts of Rochester, NY and are enjoying it immensely.

Kathleen Espelage Donohoue ‘74, school librarian and technology coordinator at Sayler Park Elementary was named the 2012 Lawrence C. Hawkins Educator of the Year. This award, created in 2007 by Western & Southern Financial Group, carries a $10,000 cash prize. When asked how she’d spend the money, Kathleen didn’t hesitate. “I’ll definitely have to buy some books for my library.”

Rosanne Miller ’75 asks, “Is there a chapter of the alumni association in Minneapolis or St. Paul, Minnesota?  I’d love to connect with some Mount alumni.”

Bonita Cichowlas Purnhagen ’77 says, “I want to post my mother’s death in the alumni news. She was very close to many of my friends in class. Her name was Rita Cichowlas and she passed away on September  24, 2011, at the age of 91. I’m sure many of my friends would like to know.”

Rob Starkey ’03 and Kelly Essen Starkey ’03 welcomed their second son, Andrew James Starkey, on March 31, 2012.

Nick Donley ’03 is engaged to be married on August 4 to Lesley L. Johnson. Lesley and Nick welcomed a son, Whitaker L Donley on December 1, 2011.

Debbie Simpson ’03 owner of Multi-Craft in Northern Kentucky, won Marketer of the Year at the annual American Marketing Association awards ceremony.

Joseph Leo Fichter ’05 and wife, Brittany Fichter, welcomed their first child, Teagan Rosalie Fichter, on February 21, 2011.

Jean Ohnmeis ’07 is working at Kenwood Towne Centre on the  Management Team and loves every minute of it.  I’ve been here for 2 years and the education that I received from the Mount has helped me so much. I will always love and cherish that school. Go Lions.

Patrick Sloane '08 and Heather Bailey Sloane '08 of West Chester welcomed their first child, a girl, in February 2012.

Ann Mazzaro Loch ’09 married Michael Loch in June 2011. Ann works at Cengage Learning/South-Western Publishing in Mason, Ohio, in the editorial department. She and her husband reside in Cleves, Ohio.

Megan Rae Smith ’10 is the family life director at the M.E. Lyons YMCA in Anderson, Ohio.
