Charity Miles and MSJ Campus Activities Board

Dateline: student newspaper

File Under: cab, charity miles

The College of Mount St. Joseph's mission states that its students strive to provide service to others. This is done in a number of ways, such as Service Learning. The College's Campus Activities Board (CAB) would like to encourage students to fulfill this part of the mission and is providing incentives to do so.

This can be done quite simply. First students need to download and use Charity Miles, a free smartphone app that donates money to charities for every mile run, walked, or biked. Using this app, students can join CAB's team "MountMiles." From there students need to simply turn the app on while exercising. When their work outs are complete, they can post their results on CAB's Facebook page (Campus Activities Board - MSJ) or tweet them to CAB's Twitter account (@CAB_MSJ). They will then be entered to win prizes such as Starbucks gift cards, hats, tote bags, and more!

The Campus Activities Board is excited to promote this new program on campus and looks forward to hearing about your work outs.
