It’s October, which means Homecoming is right around the corner.  This year the Homecoming football game will take place on Oct. 20 as the College of Mount St. Joseph take on the Manchester Spartans.  Students can show their Lion pride all week leading up to the game this year by participating in the many Homecoming events on campus.

The Student Athletic Advisory Committee has an entire week of fun planned.  Students can show their school spirit by participating in themed days the week leading up to the big game.  Every day will have a special theme, and students are asked to dress according to the theme for their classes.  This is a fun way for students to show their school spirit and make walking around campus a little more interesting for the week.  Look for an email with specific information and the theme of each day.

If you are a part of a campus club or organization be sure to design a push cart for the annual Push Cart Parade.  Each group will design their own push cart and a parade will take place Friday and Saturday to show off their hard work.  This is a fun way to show what your club or organization is about, or to find a club or organization you are interested in joining.  Be sure to check out the fun designs groups will come up with this year.

All of these events lead up to the big game on Saturday.  Come join fellow students in the tailgating area before the start of the game.  Enjoy some food and conversation with fellow students and faculty as the football team prepares to defeat the Spartans.  The game begins a 1 p.m. and is immediately followed by the Homecoming Extravaganza.  Let the fun continue as you explore the Extravaganza with friends.

The Homecoming fun gets kicked off on Monday, Oct. 15.  Show your Mount spirit all week long and come support our Lions Saturday afternoon.
