Civic Garden Center, 2715 Reading Road, Cincinnati OH 45206

Mount St. Joseph University presents MountViews, a series of lively and informative talks showcasing faculty expertise on a wide range of topics, from health and wellness to literature and the arts.  Events will be held both at the University and at select venues throughout the Greater Cincinnati area, and are free and open to the public.  Space is limited and reservations are required, RSVP to Gala Erland at gala.erland@msj.edu or call 513-244-4411 to reserve a spot!

    Creating a Bird-Friendly Yard

Few things are more comforting than the happy chirping of birds in an attractively landscaped yard. Learn how the dietary needs of birds change throughout the year and how this diet directly relates to the nutrients available in native plants and water features. Keeping track of which birds visit your yard will tell you if you have the right food available for them. Join Jill Russell in an exploration of common Cincinnati yard birds, how to attract them, and how to keep them happily singing.

Dr. Jill Russell is an associate professor of Biology at Mount St. Joseph University.

MountViews is an engaging faculty-driven speaking series featuring a wide variety of topics. Presentations are free, but please RSVP to Gala Erland at gala.erland@msj.edu or by phone at 513-244-4411.

Year of Mercy Faith Sharing Series

    Mater Dei Chapel

“What a beautiful truth of faith this is for our lives: the mercy of God!”  Pope Francis

Pope Francis has designated this year as a “Year of Mercy”.  There is much to contemplate when we think of God’s deep and unfailing mercy toward us. And then God’s call to us to extend that same kind and loving mercy toward others.

Come to the Chapel at Noon for a prayer experience about the Mercy of God and his call for us to have  that same merciful heart when we encounter others in need.

The session will last between 30-45 minutes.
