    In Her Shoes

    Clifford Room, Seton Center

In Her Shoes is an interactive group program presented by Maria Thaman from Women Helping Women. College men and women will be given the opportunity to walk "in the shoes" of women experiencing forms of domestic and intimate partner violence. The program is designed to help students build empathy for survivors of various forms of violence.

Students will begin to understand the stigma attached to domestic and sexual violence, the barriers individuals face when trying to seek support from the community, and the adversities of abusive relationships. Students will also have the opportunity to debrief about their thoughts and experiences with the program. This program was developed with input from countries around the world.

Free pizza starting at 11:45 a.m. Attendees will have the chance to win gift cards!
