Mr. Lonneman is an assistant professor in the Department of Nursing. He received his M.S.N. in Adult Primary Care from Indiana University and a B.S.N. from Xavier University. He also holds an M.A. in Theology from Xavier University. Currently, he is also pursuing his D.N.P. at Madonna University in Michigan.
Professor Lonneman has been a nurse since 1982. He has worked in hospice and in neighborhood community health, and he was a nurse practitioner in family practice and internal medicine for 10 years. His focus has been community-based primary care in a variety of urban and rural settings. Combining this experience with many years as a social justice activist in the city, he teaches community and public health at the Mount.
Mr. Lonneman serves as the chairperson of the Mount's Environmental Action Committee, and he is also active in Muslim-Christian dialogue in Cincinnati. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, keeping up with his two grown daughters and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds.
