Biography:

After graduating from Walnut Hills High School and Miami University, Harrison served thirty years in the Cincinnati Public Schools before retiring and coming to the Mount. As a credentialed lead teacher in the district, he served in a variety of teaching posts, from elementary to middle to high school teacher and was also an academic coach in math and science.  He taught in many different programs, including French bilingual, Paideia, neighborhood, and college preparatory.  He also taught for three years as adjunct faculty at Xavier University within the Special Education Department, teaching undergraduate and graduate students.  He served as Standards in Practice Coach and District Coordinator of SIP in the Cincinnati Public Schools and is a National SIP Trainer for the Education Trust in Washington, D. C.  He achieved National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Early Adolescence / Science in 2002 and was awarded the Lawrence C. Hawkins Educator of the Year Award in 2013 from the Western & Southern Financial Group.
