Plans for all military and Veteran education beneficiaries
During the initial meeting, admission counselors talk with prospective student’s program interests according to that student’s application and goals. Program requirements are discussed, as well as course formats, potential transfer work and work experience. Once the veteran/beneficiary is assigned to an academic advisor, the advisor and student meet to schedule classes, discuss major requirements and map out a plan for degree completion.
End fraudulent and aggressive recruiting techniques and misrepresentations
The Mount does not participate in aggressive recruiting practices. The enrollment at the University has been through word of mouth from veterans themselves that have achieved their goals and were satisfied with their education. The personal attention at the Mount has additionally helped the veteran enrollment increase. Admission counselors attend pre-planned education fairs with other institutions, some of which are dedicated to veterans only. Many of these fairs have been held on military sites such as Wright Patterson Air Force Base and the VA Medical Center of Cincinnati and Dayton. The Mount provides resource guides that give full disclosure of programs and cost.
