To be admitted into the Mount's MAGELIN program, students must have:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0/4.0 or higher in the bachelor's degree - or an acceptable score on the GRE

Completed the Prerequisite Courses Form which shows coursework with a "C" or higher in the following courses prior to the first MN course:
- College Level Chemistry with Lab (inorganic/organic/or biochemistry)
- Anatomy and Physiology with Lab
- Microbiology with Lab
- Introduction to Statistics
- Introduction to Sociology
- Introduction to Psychology
- Developmental Psychology
- Nutrition
- complete a graduate application
- submit a one-page typewritten statement of their goals
- complete an interview with the chairperson or program director for nursing.
Requirements for International Students
- Undergraduate transcripts from countries outside the United States will need to be evaluated by World Education Service. (www.wes.org)
- TOEFL requirements: 220 computer based — 83 on i-TOEFL. Requirements can be waived only if the graduate department requires another standardized test, e.g. GRE. (www.ets.org/toefl)
- Permanent residents must provide a copy of Alien Registration Card (green card) or a copy of visa documentaion.
- Declaration of Finances (for F-1 Visa), either I-134 or certified bank statement on letterhead with dollar amount equal to one year’s tuition, housing, etc
