The Mount is committed to reinforcing ethical leadership through multiple academic and student life opportunities.

The Center for Ethical Leadership encourages interaction between local business and community organizations and the campus community, promotes faculty scholarship, and provides support to enhance the integration of ethical leadership into curricular and co-curricular programs that shape a distinctively Mount student life experience and advance student career readiness.

Promoting Service and Socially Conscious Leadership Practice

Inspired by the Sisters of Charity’s legacy of service and socially conscious leadership practice, the Center for Ethical Leadership emerged as an integral part of the Mount’s Vision 2020 strategic plan.

The Center reflects the university’s core belief that to lead productive personal, civic, and work lives, students need to have the skills and experience to integrate leadership and life.

Service to Greater Cincinnati

Additionally, the Center for Ethical Leadership offers to be a place that businesses, community organizations and civic leaders turn to for rich discussions, collaboration and programs that advance ethical leadership and building strong communities in Greater Cincinnati.

The Duffey Conway Ethical Leadership Series leads the Center’s efforts to promote collaborative conversation on leadership, ethics and civic engagement.

Integrating Leadership & Life

By integrating ethical leadership development into the curriculum and student life, the Mount is creating its 21st century legacy as a distinguished Catholic university recognized for academic excellence and whose graduates accept the responsibility to “be involved in something greater” in service to their families, workplaces and communities.
