American institutions: Apple pie, hot dogs, freedom, Chrysler...oops not anymore, and game shows. Among game shows there is one which is beloved by millions. When you were sick and stayed home from school, you watched this show. Prizes? Oh yes. All expenses paid trip to Guam. And a brand new car! Of course I speak of The Price is Right. I still wonder why they chose Drew Carey to replace Bob Barker. Carey is not funny. AT ALL! Being from Cleveland doesn't help either. But I guess it would have been hard to find anyone to replace Bob. His banter with contestants was "priceless". I also miss Rod Roddy yelling "Come on down". I wonder if they have old episodes on DVD? I also didn't know that there are over 80 different games that contestants play. The greatest of all being Plinko. The best was when the Plinko chips got stuck and Bob had to get out his magic stick and dislodge the chip...hilarious. My second favorite game was Hole-in-One where Bob would take a practice put before the contestant. Then there is the wheel- which has to go all the way around! or else you get booed by the audience. Whats your favorite Price is Right game? Guess what I'm doing right now. Its eleven o'clock.
